1. Most men want to look tall, but wear jackets that are too long for them, making them look shorter in stature. Jackets should just cover the bum, which on most people can be measured by the thumb knuckle when the arms are loosely hanging at the side. Tall men, or those with proportionately long legs, can wear jackets a little longer.
2. Shirt collars should flatter the face shape. Short, wide faces will be lengthened and slimmed by wearing slightly longer, more pointed collars. Long, thin faces will be flattered by spread collars which will shorten and widen the face which will not do any favours to a short wide face.
